Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: Ilford, E London Contract Type: Permanent Salary: 60,000 - 70,000 + Benefits Reports To: Commercial Manager / Project Director About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in rail and civil engineering to join our commercial team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the commercial aspects of key infrastructure projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with client and regulatory requirements. Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the commercial and contractual management of rail and civil engineering projects.Prepare, submit, and manage valuations, variations, and final accounts.Provide accurate forecasting and cost/value reporting on a monthly basis.Support procurement of subcontractors, including drafting of subcontract agreements.Manage subcontractor accounts and payment applications.Ensure compliance with NEC / NR / JCT contracts (as applicable).Liaise with project managers and engineers to ensure commercial risks are identified and mitigated.Lead on dispute resolution, claims, and contractual correspondence.Attend and represent the company at client and site meetings.Mentor and guide junior commercial staff as required.Requirements Essential:Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.Minimum 5 years'' experience in a Quantity Surveying role within rail and civil engineering ..... full job details .....
