A great opportunity for an experienced QBE Financial Controller to join an established publishing company Your new company You will work for a small, successful sports magazine publishing business based in Northwest London. This company has been in operation for 100+ years and has a reputation for retaining staff long-term. Your new role This position has come about to replace a long-standing Financial Controller who is due to retire at the end of the year. You will take the lead on ''all things finance'', supported by an Accounts Assistant who you will oversee on a day-to-day basis (as well as two other non-finance personnel). Responsibilities will include:Preparation of monthly Management Accounts, providing commentary and presenting in monthly board meetingsPreparation of PandL for all products/revenue streamsBudget control across multiple departments, partnering with stakeholdersProviding necessary reports to departmental heads and offering guidance on process enhancementsFinancial analysis to facilitate accurate forecastingIdentifying and providing recommendations on cost savings and increased revenue opportunitiesOversight of AP, AR, VAT returns and bank reconciliationPreparation of payroll (including commission and bonuses) and managing pension contributionsProviding all necessary information to enable smooth year-end accounting and auditHandling year-end insurance renewals.What you''ll need to succeed This isn''t a role for a traditional Accountant, it requires ..... full job details .....
