Supplier Development Engineer

team. This is a key role where you will ensure our external supply chain consistently delivers high-quality components, supporting a fast-paced and performance-driven engineering environment. You will be instrumental in strengthening supplier relationships, promoting quality assurance practices, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across our supplier network.Application Deadline:

Conduct supplier audits, monitor performance, and implement effective improvement plans.Develop and maintain quality documentation for externally manufactured components.Ensure supplier compliance with internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.Build strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers through proactive communication and technical engagement.Travel extensively to supplier sites to build trust, assess capabilities, and support ongoing improvement efforts.Work closely with internal teams, including Inspection, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Design, to ensure timely delivery of high-quality components.Manage and resolve supplier non-conformance reports (NCRs) efficiently and professionally.Lead or contribute to supplier meetings and project milestone reviews.Represent the company in a professional manner to current and prospective suppliers.Stay current with industry trends and continuously develop your skills and expertise.Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Experience in motorsport or a similarly high-precision, fast-paced engineering environment.Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes for composite and metallic components (electronics experience is a plus).Deep understanding of quality assurance methodologies and standards.Auditing experience, ideally certified as an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or equivalent.Excellent attention to detail with the ability to ensure high standards under tight deadlines.Confident interpreting complex engineering drawings and resolving technical challenges.Experience with MRP/ERP systems such as IFS, SAP, or similar platforms.Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.Self-motivated, calm under pressure, with strong organisational and decision-making skills.Strong communicator with a collaborative mindset and a professional, respectful approach.Adaptable to change, able to thrive in a dynamic environment, and skilled at building lasting working relationships.Willing and able to travel extensively to maintain and develop supplier partnerships.Additional Information
