The School of Foundation, Intermediate Learning and Employability at Kingston College is seeking a Section Head to be responsible for the staff and curriculum standards in the cross-college mandatory maths delivery area. The focus is on ensuring that current and future students receive a first-class experience that enables them to progress and attain their qualifications at high levels and to develop long-lasting learning and employability skills. This post has a collective responsibility for the implementation of the area business and improvement Plans, as well as contributing to the College s Objectives and Improvement Plans. You will be responsible for ensuring we meet our conditions of funding for maths skills development, ensuring high quality teaching, improving success rates and ensuring excellent feedback from students. Joining us as Head of Section, you will teach either GCSE or A level Maths and have oversight of functional skills maths, GCSE maths and A level Maths ensuring a transparent, responsive and high-quality service to the College is being offered. We are looking for someone who holds a degree or relevant professional qualifications in an appropriate subject, holds a teaching qualification (or willing to work towards) and participated in recent and relevant continuous professional development.
