Nursery Teacher

Are you a specialist in Early Years who loves sparking curiosity in the littlest learners? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a nurturing and creative Nursery Teacher for a vibrant primary school located in Wigan.

This role is scheduled to begin after the Easter break and will run until the end of the academic year. For the right candidate, this isn''t just a summer placement-there is a genuine potential for a permanent contract starting in September 2026.

The Role

You will be joining a dedicated EYFS team that prides itself on creating a "home-from-home" environment. The school is looking for someone who understands that Nursery is the foundation of a child''s educational journey.

Location: Wigan (Well-connected via local transport and car).

Start Date: April 2026 (post-Easter).

Duration: Summer Term (with a view to a permanent role).

Setting: School-based Nursery.

Pay: Competitive daily rates (-150 - -212) reflecting your experience.

What We Are Looking For

We need a teacher who is passionate about early childhood development and thrives in a busy, play-based environment.

EYFS Specialist: Deep knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and "Development Matters."

Creative Flair: The ability to design engaging continuous provision that encourages independent exploration.

Observational Skills: Experience in tracking "wow moments" and using digital learning journals (e.g., Tapestry or SeeSaw).

Nurturing Approach: A warm, patient personality that helps children feel safe and settled as they begin their schooling.

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS).

Recent experience teaching within a Nursery or Reception setting.

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or the willingness to process a new one).

Legal right to work in the UK

CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
