Transport Planner (Supervisor)
Day-to-day responsibilities will include but are not limited to: To meet and exceed the required standards of performance and service from the transport section of the operations area in line with current vehicle laws and regulations for the fleet of vehicles and operators.To provide an efficient and effective service within the operations area of the business to all customers, both internal and external.Responsible for Drivers and Commercial Vehicle fleet.Responsible for the accurate planning of daily deliveries and collections.Completing relevant delivery paperwork.Overall responsibility for the daily up-keep, inspection, and cleanliness of vehicles.Responsible for reporting any accidents or incidents involving the vehicle fleet or your staff, both on and off the premises.Undertake any additional tasks as requested by the Transport ManagerOverall planning and running of a fleet of temperature controlled vans, 18 tonne and 26 tonne vehiclesRequirements:Basic computer knowledge (MS Office)Excellent communication skillsGood knowledge of Health and SafetySelf-motivatedTeam playerGood organisational skillsReliability and dependabilityFlexible and willing to take on a variety of tasksThe ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlinesDriving licence Cat B, van driving experience preferably, own transport is required due to site locationThis is a permanent role on site working Sunday - Thursday from 6am - 3pm. ..... full job details .....
