Senior Principal Protection and Control Design Engineer .The Opportunity

Join us to be at the forefront of creating renewable energy solutions, modernizing the electrical grid, and developing natural gas infrastructure.As part of a top design firm, you’ll have opportunities to work on diverse projects across multiple disciplines, including HVDC, wind farms, substations, OHL, and more. You will lead and collaborate with a team on projects up to 400kV, taking them from concept to energization, especially working with key UK TandD clients.Your Role

Develop scoping documentation and protection diagrams.Review protection and control designs by third parties.Specify PandC equipment such as relays, CTs, and VTs.Produce detailed AC/DC schematics.Conduct protection grading studies and produce relay settings.Review commissioning plans and attend related meetings.About You

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.Experience in distribution networks as a Protection and Control Engineer.Knowledge of protection relays, relay panels, CT and VT sizing, and detailed drawings.Familiarity with UK electrical standards and CDM regulations.Strong safety focus and risk mitigation experience.Experience with National Grid processes is preferred.About Stantec
