The Electrical Design Manager is responsible for leading the electrical design work on building services projects from start to finish. This includes managing a small team, producing and reviewing designs, and ensuring all work meets industry standards, client requirements, and project deadlines.

Main Duties:

• Lead and coordinate the electrical design team.

• Produce and check designs for lighting, power, fire alarms, security, data, and renewable systems.

• Ensure all designs meet current regulations and standards.

• Work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors.

• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.

• Provide technical support and guidance to team members.

• Attend meetings and site visits to support the design process.

• Promote energy-efficient and sustainable design solutions.

Skills & Experience:

• Experience in electrical design within building services.

• Good knowledge of design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech) and BIM processes.

• Strong understanding of regulations and standards (BS 7671, building regs).

• Good communication and project management skills.

Qualifications:

• Degree, HNC/HND in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.

• Professional membership (IET, CIBSE) desirable.
