Senior Engineer (Aircraft Programmes) at Aviation Jobsearch (Virgin Atlantic). Hybrid role based in Heathrow or Crawley, full-time, 3-year secondment / fixed contract. Salary £69,732 - £79,571 dependent on experience. Closing date: 2 October 2025. This role involves managing high-value cabin interior projects from specification through delivery and supporting operations during the initial period.Responsibilities
Ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget, considering wide-ranging risks and opportunities.Build and maintain relationships with other Virgin Atlantic departments.Understand and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and commercial contracts using aviation industry knowledge.Identify tangible risks and issues in technical, commercial, and financial aspects and propose solutions to maintain project standards.Travelling may be required to support key project deliverables due to the global nature of the projects.Develop team members and report to the Manager Cabin Projects – Aircraft Programmes.About You / Qualifications
Professional qualification in Aircraft Engineering or equivalent experience with at least 2 years of relevant commercial aviation experience in a Part M organisation/MRO, with understanding of regulatory requirements including UK CAA, EASA and FAA.Good understanding of Aircraft Engineering within Part 145, Part CAMO, and Part 21 environments.Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to apply project management principles.Desire to be involved in complex, high-value projects that shape the airline’s future.Highly driven, self-motivated, and a high performer with good communication skills to build relationships internally and externally.Experience managing high-value cabin interior or IFEC cabin retrofit programmes is advantageous.
