Housing Support Coach Salary: £23,848 Location: Stoke on Trent Hours per week: 37.5 Contract type: Permanent You ll provide support and advice to young people who have experienced homelessness and other forms of social exclusion. You ll work with the team to manage the day-to-day running of the young person s 24/7 supported accommodation scheme and be the first point of contact for customers and visitors. Job requirements Support customers to move into the service, completing detailed and thorough sign-ups to make sure young people know the rights and responsibilities of themselves and Concrete. Cover all reception tasks including the phone, post and reception enquiries. Support customers to manage their rent and service charge payments, including benefit claims where necessary. Maintain the safety and security of young people and the building by supervising the entrance and exit of the building, and undertaking regular health and safety checks. Arrange appointments for customers, for example with their GP or DWP and accompany them where appropriate. Provide advice to them on housing, health, welfare benefit claims and other issues as necessary. Work with the local community and respond to neighbourhood concerns or queries when needed. Support the service s income through the minimisation of void loss and arrears by reporting, monitoring and following up on maintenance jobs until completion.
