An established, privately owned multi-disciplinary consultancy is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join its growing M&E team.
This business has built a strong reputation for delivering complex, large-scale infrastructure and development schemes across the UK. The Role
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical and building services designs across a diverse portfolio of projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing HVAC, mechanical and public health systems including calculations, drawings and specifications
- Producing designs using AutoCAD (Revit experience advantageous)
- Undertaking energy modelling using IES software
- Delivering Part L compliance, overheating analysis, TM54 and BREEAM assessments (desirable)
- Completing SAP calculations and producing EPCs
- Supporting projects from concept through to detailed design and technical coordination
- Conducting site surveys and reporting on existing systems
- Supporting contract administration and monitoring progress during construction
- Attending site for witnessing and handover activities
- Collaborating with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams to deliver efficient and robust solutions
About You
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services (or similar)
- Strong experience in mechanical design within the built environment
- Experience with IES and Revit is advantageous
- Working towards or already Chartered
- Full UK driving licence
