Our engineering clients, based close to Havant, have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Manager to join their growing team. This role will be to oversee the daily operations of the warehouse. The role will be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring efficient storage and distribution of goods, dispatch of goods, supervising warehouse staff, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment.Duties and responsibilities: Oversee Daily Operations: Manage and coordinate all warehouse activities including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and ensure accurate records are maintained. Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and evaluate warehouse staff to maintain high levels of productivity, accuracy, and morale. Safety and Compliance: Ensure the warehouse operates in accordance with health and safety regulations, and company policies and procedures. Logistics Coordination: Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with suppliers, transport companies, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery. Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements to optimize warehouse layout, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency. Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing goods for accuracy and quality, resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
