At AM London Fashion Ltd, we believe fashion should be a force for good, and we are dedicated to shaping a future where style and sustainability go hand in hand.We''re now looking for an established Senior Menswear Designer, ideally with a jersey, sweat and graphics background, on a maternity contract for 9-12 months .Key roles and responsibilitiesCreating and developing original design ideas, concepts, embroideries, fabrications and seasonal themesSourcing of relevant fabrics to meet the design requirementsTrend packs/colour inspirationManaging and developing junior members of the teamProviding support to the Design ManagerLiaising with Account Manager regularlyLiaising with factories and overseas officesRange reviews with DirectorsMaintaining strong relationship with BuyersWork to departmental deadlines and critical paths to ensure product is supplied within an effective timeframe to the customerManaging expenses and returnsInspiration and sourcing trips, including opportunity for overseas travelSkills required:+4 years minimum background in designExperience working within menswear (jersey, sweat, fleece and graphics) preferredGood understanding of illustrator and/or photoshopCreative and trend driven with an eye for colour and fabricExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalTeam player and able to build relationshipsAbility to work under pressure and to tight deadlinesManage challenges in a calm and positive mannerWhat we can offer you:25 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays, plus your birthday offGenerous 40% staff discount and sample sales25% friends and family discountCompany Pension SchemeLength of Service AwardsEnhanced Maternity and Paternity paySome flexibility of your working hoursSeniority level
