The Role

We are seeking a motivated Geoscientist to join our growing team in Oxford. This role will focus on seismic data processing, interpretation, and analysis, supporting a range of subsurface and energy-related projects.

You will play a key role in transforming raw geophysical data into meaningful insights, contributing to high-quality project delivery across a variety of sectors including energy, infrastructure, and environmental applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and analyse 2D and 3D seismic datasets using industry-standard software
• Apply advanced signal processing techniques to enhance data quality
• Perform velocity modelling, migration, and inversion workflows
• Interpret seismic data to support subsurface modelling and decision-making
• Collaborate with geologists, geophysicists, and engineers on multidisciplinary projects
• Ensure data quality control and adherence to project specifications
• Produce technical reports, visualisations, and client-ready deliverables
• Support continuous improvement of internal workflows and processing techniques

Requirements

• Degree in Geophysics, Geoscience, Earth Science, or a related field
• 2-5 years'' experience in seismic data processing (industry or consultancy)
• Strong understanding of seismic acquisition and processing workflows
• Experience with software such as Petrel, Kingdom, ProMAX, or similar
• Knowledge of velocity analysis, stacking, migration, and inversion techniques
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills

Desirable

• Experience working on UK or international energy projects
• Familiarity with Python, MATLAB, or other data processing tools
• Understanding of geological modelling and interpretation
• Experience with marine or land seismic data
