HR Business Partner

We are recruiting for an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Business Partner to join a busy and forward-thinking Human Resources service. This key role will focus on providing strategic HR support to the Housing Division while leading complex casework, organisational change initiatives, and the development and implementation of HR policies across the Council.You will work closely with senior managers, directors, and key stakeholders to deliver an effective, solution-focused HR service that meets organisational priorities and drives continuous service improvement. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage complex casework including employee relations issues, change management, TUPE, restructures, and policy development. Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to directorates, particularly the Housing Division, providing proactive HR support. Support the delivery of corporate HR objectives including policy design, consultation, and implementation. Ensure the council''s HR services are legally compliant, customer-focused, and aligned with best practices and the council''s strategic aims. Manage and develop HR team members, ensuring high-quality delivery and professional growth. Prepare reports, briefings, and DMT updates, and attend hearings and appeals where necessary. Champion service improvements, customer satisfaction, and engagement across the council and with partners including trade unions.
