This role involves maintaining a fleet of over 200 council vehicles and grounds-maintenance equipment. If you have a passion for vehicle maintenance and a current MOT Testing licence, this is the perfect opportunity for you.Day-to-day of the role:Conduct up to 8 MOT/Taxi Compliance tests per day to DVSA standards.Diagnose faults, inspect, repair, and prepare vehicles for MOT.Utilise modern diagnostic tools to work on a diverse range of vehicles.Update records in the Taxi Compliance database.Attend to breakdowns and accident-damaged vehicles as required.Assist with new vehicle inspections and vehicle decommissioning.You will be part of a supportive team environment with opportunities for skill development as new technologies are introduced.Required Skills and Qualifications:Current MOT Testing Licence.Light Vehicle Inspection qualification or substantial relevant work experience.City and Guilds/IMI Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).Full UK driving licence.Proficiency in computer usage.Excellent customer service skills.Experience in Taxi compliance testing is desirable but not essential.Benefits:Opportunities for professional development and training.Supportive team environment.Competitive salary and benefits package. ..... full job details .....
