The Opportunity

We are working with a growing and well-established-recycling and waste management business-that is committed to delivering efficient and sustainable solutions across the UK.

Due to continued growth and increased operational demand, they are looking to appoint an experienced-Transport Planner-to join their expanding operations team.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and coordinate daily transport operations from the depot.
• Oversee driver routes and ensure vehicles are allocated efficiently to maximise productivity.
• Ensure all transport activities comply with relevant-transport legislation, Road Traffic Acts and company policies.
• Monitor vehicle availability and coordinate maintenance requirements and defect reporting.
• Manage daily route planning, responding effectively to changes, delays and operational issues.
• Conduct driver inductions and ensure drivers understand and comply with company procedures and operational requirements.
• Monitor driver compliance, working hours and relevant transport regulations.
• Liaise with drivers, depot teams, customers and internal departments to ensure collections and deliveries are completed efficiently and on time.
• Coordinate the movement of recyclable materials, waste and associated equipment between sites.
