Job title: Principal Safety Assessment SpecialistJob Type: Contract IR35 Status: Inside IR35Start date: As soon as possible subject to clearance Duration: 18 Months Location: Reading Hours of work: 40 Hours a week Applicants must have experience of the following: - Nuclear background in Safety Case or Nuclear Safety Assessments - HAZARD Identification- Experience of undertaking nuclear hazard analysis (HAZAN)- Experience of developing and delivering a nuclear safety case.- Experience working in a highly regulated industry.- Ability to technically write safety case documents- Manage and work with delivery partners - strong stakeholder skills at all levelsIdeally applicants should also have: - Degree or equivalent in a science-based / engineering subject Role information: To provide extensive specialist subject matter expertise in the assessment of nuclear, explosive and other major hazards associated with actual, planned and/or decommissioned facilities, plant, equipment or product. To advises on strategies for the development of safety assessments (safety case/safety basis/risk assessments).
