Senior Category Manager - ICT

Overview
Working within a department that is on a transformational journey, the successful candidate will be responsible for the shaping and implementing innovative category strategies as well as leading a team that deliver procurement / sourcing and contract management across spend areas such as software, telecoms, WAN / LAN etc. This role has three direct reports, and my client is looking for candidates who will bring a coaching / mentoring leadership approach.Responsibilities
Shape and implement innovative category strategies and lead a team that delivers procurement / sourcing and contract management across spend areas such as software, telecoms, WAN / LAN, etc.Coaching / mentoring leadership to develop the team and foster capability in procurement activities.Qualifications
Track record of developing innovative category strategies that deliver high quality commercial outcomes and value for money.Experience of leading high value / complex ICT procurements in a Public Sector / Procurement Act 23 regulated environment.Leadership / Management experience, ideally gained from working within a transformational environment.Excellent senior stakeholder relationship skills, ideally in a cross-organisational capacity.
