Job Description: Laser Operator Location: B18, Birmingham Shift: Morning or Day Shift Pay Rate: £16+ We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing client based in B18, Birmingham, who is looking to add an experienced Laser Operator to their production team. This role would suit a candidate with hands-on experience operating Mazak or Trumpf laser cutting machines, seeking stable day-shift work in a busy manufacturing environment. The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for: Operating CNC laser cutting machines (Mazak or Trumpf) to produce components to specification Loading and unloading sheet metal safely and efficiently Setting up jobs in line with engineering drawings and cutting schedules Monitoring cut quality and making basic machine adjustments as required Carrying out routine machine checks and basic maintenance Ensuring all work meets quality standards and production targets Completing production paperwork and job records accurately Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised work area The Candidate Our client is looking for someone who: Has proven experience operating Mazak or Trumpf laser machines Can read and interpret engineering drawings confidently Has a good understanding of sheet metal materials and laser cutting processes Works accurately with strong attention to detail Is reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team Has a good awareness of health and safety within a manufacturing ..... full job details .....
