Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Primary Teaching Assistant

About the Role: TeacherActive are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) in a vibrant and inclusive primary school. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and the ALNCo to provide one-to-one and small group support, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential. This full-time position will start in September and will be reviewed in the Spring Term because the role is dependent on funding being secured. Key Responsibilities: Support children with ALN, including those with ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, or social/emotional difficulties. Implement and adapt learning activities based on individual Education Plans (IEPs). Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment. Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to the teacher and ALNCo. Encourage positive behaviour and help to develop social and emotional skills. Attend training and contribute to team meetings as required. The ideal candidate will have: Experience working with children in a primary school setting, particularly those with additional needs (minimum 6 months experience) Knowledge of strategies for supporting pupils with a range of ALN.
