Job Overview
The Production Operative will support day-to-day manufacturing operations, working closely with the Production Supervisor to ensure output targets, quality standards, and health & safety requirements are consistently met. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced production environment, where success is measured by efficiency, accuracy, and reliability on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and run production machinery in accordance with operational guidelines
- Assist in the build and preparation of specialist manufactured components
- Deliver assigned workloads within agreed timeframes and required standards
- Perform inspections to ensure output meets quality expectations, escalating any issues identified
- Keep work areas tidy, structured, and compliant with safety standards
- Adhere to all site health & safety policies, including the correct use of protective equipment
- Support routine equipment checks and highlight any mechanical concerns
- Provide input into daily output tracking and performance metrics
- Highlight opportunities to improve processes and contribute to efficiency enhancements
Person Specification
- Experience in a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment
- Understanding of production processes, assembly, or industrial manufacturing
- Good time management and ability to meet production deadlines
- Physically capable of working in a hands-on, shop floor environment
- Full UK right to work and access to own transport
