Mayday Personnel is proud to be working with an established and friendly company based in the Nursling area of Southampton, who are looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative on a full time temporary basis, with a view to become permanent after 12 weeks if you get on well!

The ideal candidate will be responsible for cutting various metal plates to size to meet customer specifications as well as carrying out tasks from loading and unloading deliveries (up to 25kg), to picking and packing orders for dispatch.

Key responsibilities:

• Processing orders ready for dispatch
• Cutting various metal plates to meet customer specifications
• Loading and unloading metal onto the machines
• Quality checking final products to ensure that there are no sharp or rough edges
• Keeping the work area clean and tidy
• Any other ad-hoc warehouse duties where needed

Key skills:

• Full UK Driving Licence is an advantage, due to assisting with deliveries during busy periods
• Previous warehousing, machine operating or similar experience would be an advantage
• A good work ethic and attitude
• Good communication skills
• Self-motivated and good time keeping skills to meet deadlines

Reward:

• -12.21 per hour
• Temporary ongoing (with the chance to go permanent after 12 weeks if you get on well!)

Working hours:

• Monday - Friday (weekly rotational shifts)
• 8:30am - 5pm
