Quantity Surveyors

at all levels to be accountable for the commercial assurance of all financial and contractual aspects of contracted works in relation to a portfolio of schemes associated with delivery of Yorkshire Water''s Capital Programme including working within the AMP 8 Storm Overflow Alliance programme and AMP8 non-Alliance programmes. This includes assuring project budgets, supporting negotiations with partners and suppliers, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, evaluating financial risks and supporting success by overseeing the associated financial aspects.You will also be responsible for supporting the Commercial and Contracts Manager and other Quantity Surveyors in developing and implementing commercial strategies and procedures and identifying new commercial opportunities.The Commercial Services Team work closely with the Capital Delivery Programme Managers, Capital Delivery Senior Project Managers and Project Managers to optimise contract performance and deliver contracts within budget and on schedule.Additionally, you will support the development and implementation of contract administration, risk assessment, and procurement strategies to support the successful completion of schemes and will provide guidance and support in aspects such as risk management, cost control, and budget control.Where you fit in:As a member of the team you will take an active role in seeking to improve value and achieve consistent cycle times through increased commercial controlsProcurement and contract strategy development and implementationDevelopment and implementation of key commercial controlsCost assurance pre and post contractProcess applications for payment from partnersForecast assuranceChange control assuranceContract administration assuranceSupply chain management and procurement supportFurther developing commercial behaviours that are suited to a multi-party collaborative enterpriseWhat skills and qualifications you will need:Knowledge of the administration associated with construction contractsAbility to identify, quantify and control commercial risksKnowledge of the NEC suite of contracts or other industry standard conditions of contract and contract management practices, procedures and systemsProfessional qualification, or working to a professional qualification, associated with the roleAbility to work with all stakeholders, provide guidance and support key decision commercial outcomes that benefit Capital DeliveryYou will also benefit from having:Understanding and usage of framework agreementsUnderstanding working within an Alliance environmentKnowledge associated with developing commercial processes and proceduresExperience in supplier relationship managementExperience or knowledge of behavioural management techniques and toolsStrong interpersonal skillsExperience in water / utilities (or wider infrastructure sector)We embrace a flexible working model, where our hybrid setup typically requires an average of
