Junior Field Service Engineer

Location: Wiltshire
Rates: £21.35 Umbrella per hour
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (40 Hours)
Contract Length: 12 Months with a view to go Permanent

A fantastic opportunity has opened for a Level 3 qualified Electrical Technician with a background in electrical installations and fault finding. We are looking for an individual who is in the early stages of their electrical career who is looking to progress and build a stable career within the Rail industry.

Your New Opportunity

Junior Field Service Engineer to join a Company who recently secured a big contract and has an order book worth over 1 billion pounds The successful candidate will support the installation, maintenance, and repair Railway electrical equipment across multiple sites throughout the UK. This role offers comprehensive In House and external training and is designed to develop an electrically biased HVAC Engineer over a 12-month period, enabling them to effectively support increasing workload demands.

The Ideal Candidate

You will bring experience, precision, and a strong electrical mindset. We are looking for someone with:

• Knowledge of 3 phase Electrical systems, DC Control Units and Basic understanding of PLC systems (Desirable)
• Confident in reading and following electrical engineering drawings
• Candidate must be a commutable distance from Calne.

Essential Criteria

• Proven electrical fault-finding experience
• Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Electrical engineering.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to pass a medical, drug & alcohol screening.
