Vehicle Technician

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a well-established prestige vehicle accident repair group in Enfield.

This is a hands-on mechanical role, with the main focus being on suspension, steering, four-wheel alignments and general mechanical repairs. The successful candidate will also be comfortable carrying out more involved mechanical work, including engine removal and refitting.

You will be working as part of a professional workshop team, ensuring vehicles are repaired safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical repairs and maintenance across a range of vehicles.
• Complete suspension repairs and replacement work.
• Carry out steering repairs and associated mechanical work.
• Complete four-wheel alignment checks and adjustments.
• Carry out engine removal and refitting when required.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and complete repairs to a high standard.
• Strip and refit mechanical components as part of the repair process.
• Work closely with Bodyshop and MET technicians to ensure repairs are completed efficiently.
• Follow manufacturer and company repair procedures and maintain high standards of safety and quality.
• Ensure all work is completed accurately and within agreed timescales.

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role, ideally with around 5 years experience.
• Strong mechanical background with excellent hands-on technical ability.
• Good experience with suspension and steering systems.
• Experience carrying out four-wheel alignments.
• Experience with more involved mechanical repairs, including engine removal and refitting.
• Strong understanding of vehicle mechanical systems and repair processes.
• Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to repairs.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a wider workshop team.

Desirable Experience

• Diagnostic experience and the ability to carry out fault finding.
• MET experience within an accident repair environment, including stripping and refitting vehicle components.
• Previous experience working within a prestige vehicle or accident repair environment.
