We are a day service for adults with Learning disabilities and Autism based in Redditch. We provide supported activities with an emphasis on learning. As a Support worker, you will be leading a group to participate in a variety of activities, for example: cooking; drama; dance; sports and fitness; science experiments; photography projects; arts and crafts; literacy and numeracy; games; swimming; bowling; day trips; enterprises; and many more. The activities are based at our centre and also out in the community. We also provide supported work experience at our cafe and charity shop called Cups and Saucers.Another aspect of the role is to provide 1:1 outreach support outside of our day service opening hours. In the role you may be working alongside other colleagues or lone working (full training and shadowing will be provided during the induction period before you do lone working).We are looking for someone who is assertive enough to lead and motivate their group. A friendly person with a sense of humour, who is able to make the activities informative as well as fun.
