Supply Desk is currently recruiting for an engaging and innovative Computer Science Teacher to join a dynamic and well-resourced secondary school in Watford. This is a full-time position starting in September, ideal for an experienced educator or a confident ECT with a passion for computing and digital technology.

The school is committed to academic excellence and technological advancement, with a supportive leadership team and a strong emphasis on student progress and staff development.

Role Overview:

• Plan and deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 teaching desirable but not essential).
• Develop engaging schemes of work that cover programming, algorithms, cybersecurity, computer systems, and software development.
• Inspire students to explore the role of technology in the modern world, preparing them for further study or digital careers.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted feedback to support achievement.
• Contribute to departmental planning, resources, and extra-curricular activities (e.g. coding clubs, digital competitions).
• Uphold high standards of classroom behaviour and actively promote a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Computer Science or a related subject.
• Be confident in delivering lessons across KS3 and KS4 (and preferably KS5).
• Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for computing and digital education.
• Have excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Be proactive, reflective, and dedicated to continual professional development.
• Be committed to supporting all students, including those with SEND or EAL needs.
• Hold or be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS check.
