SEND and SEMH Outreach Tutor - Stockton-on-Tees 30- 33 per hour 1:1 Tuition Flexible Hours We are looking for experienced SEND and SEMH Tutors to provide 1:1 educational support to children and young people in Stockton-on-Tees. Many learners have EHCPs and a range of SEND, SEMH and behavioural needs. Sessions may take place in the learner''s home or a suitable public setting such as a library, depending on the individual learner. This is a specialist outreach role, so previous UK teaching experience and experience working with SEND/SEMH learners is essential.The RoleYou will:Deliver engaging 1:1 tuition tailored to individual needsSupport learners with SEND, SEMH and EHCPsAdapt teaching to different abilities, behaviours and barriers to learningBuild positive relationships and encourage engagementWork towards agreed educational targets and outcomesMaintain clear session records and provide feedbackWork professionally with parents/carers and Local Authority professionalsSupport learners who may be out of school, experiencing anxiety, school refusal or other barriers to educationEssential RequirementsPrevious UK teaching experience - essentialExperience working with SEND and/or SEMH learnersUnderstanding of EHCPs and individualised educationStrong safeguarding awarenessAbility to work independently in home and community settingsExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsDBS registered on the Update Service - essentialRight to work in the UKAbility to travel to ..... full job details .....
