Working as part of the maintenance team, you will play a key role in ensuring plant reliability, minimising downtime and supporting continuous improvement across the site.

As Mechanical Fitter your role will include

- Responding quickly to breakdowns to maximise plant uptime
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs of heavy duty foundry machinery
- Completing TPM checks and preventative maintenance activities
- Overhauling, repairing and refurbishing mechanical equipment
- Supporting installation projects and factory improvements
- Mentoring apprentices and supporting team development

 
To be a successful Mechanical Fitter you will have

- Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering
- Previous experience within a mechanical maintenance or fitting role with foundry or heavy industry experience
- Strong mechanical repair and fault finding experience
- Good understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Welding, grinding and oxy-acetylene cutting skills

 
Shift Pattern

- Full-time – 40.25 hours per week
- 4 on / 4 off shift pattern across an 8 week cycle
- Positions available on both Days and Nights
