They deputise in the Manager''s absence and help maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for children and young people.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport and deputise for the Registered Manager Lead shifts and supervise staff Ensure safeguarding and compliance with regulations and Ofsted standards Oversee care planning, records, and documentation Support staff development, supervision, and rota management Work directly with children and young people when required Liaise with families and external professionals Manage incidents, safeguarding concerns, and complaints Ensure health, safety, and property standards are maintained Participate in on-call duties and flexible working RequirementsEssential:Experience in a senior role in children''s residential care Experience with children with emotional and behavioural difficulties Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) Strong leadership, communication, and crisis management skills Safeguarding knowledge and commitment Full UK driving licence Ability to work flexibly, including on-call Desirable:Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification (or working towards) 2+ years'' residential ..... full job details .....
