Interpret complex scientific data and insights to shape compelling, insight-led communication strategies for healthcare clientsAct as a strategic partner in client conversations, contributing to messaging frameworks, campaign platforms, and content strategies across therapeutic areas and audiencesLead the development of scientific and creative narratives that underpin brand positioning, campaign messaging, and education initiativesDrive content strategy across projects, ensuring alignment with brand objectives, audience needs, and regulatory requirementsCollaborate with strategists, creatives and client engagement leads to co-develop campaign concepts, ensuring scientific credibility and creative resonancePresent strategic thinking and content to clients and internal teams, articulating the rationale behind the workWrite and edit copy for HCP campaigns, disease awareness, medical education, accredited education programs, patient engagement, internal comms, and digital contentEnsure meticulous attention to detail in all content, including scientific accuracy, referencing, tone, grammar, and layoutStay abreast of market trends, therapeutic advancements, and industry changes that could inform strategic directionContribute to pitch and proposal development with strong narrative thinking and scientific credibilityEngage with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders to gather insights and ensure relevance across stakeholder groupsParticipate in stakeholder engagements, advisory boards, workshops, and co-creation sessions as requiredEnsure content is scientifically accurate, clearly referenced, and aligned with Medicines Australia Code of Conduct and client medical review processesContribute to the growth and capability-building of VML Health, sharing knowledge and mentoring othersAbout You
You have a deep passion for health communication and can translate complex science into meaningful storytelling. You’re comfortable referencing clinical trials and concepting headlines. You have a strong foundation in medical writing with an understanding of regulatory frameworks, and you’re collaborative and creatively driven. You thrive in a fast-paced, idea-rich environment as part of a multidisciplinary team.Key Skills

Advanced science degree (preferably PhD, BPharm, MD or equivalent)Proven experience in healthcare communication/pharmaceutical marketing (Rx, OTC, medical devices)Experience in promotional and non-promotional medical education (accreditation program experience preferred)Ability to interpret data, develop insights, and assess impact of recommendationsExperience leading persuasive medical strategy for new business opportunitiesStrategic, analytical problem-solving skillsMeticulous attention to detail and scientific accuracyExcellent presentation and facilitation skillsAbility to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environmentCommitment to understanding new advancements in health and pharmaceutical industriesUnderstanding of regulatory environment and compliance requirements, including Medicines Australia Code of ConductWe’re a hybrid workplace with teams in the office an average of four days a week.
