Academic Appointments is looking for passionate and reliable Primary Teachers to join our supply team, supporting a variety of welcoming and supportive primary schools. We have opportunities across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, with work available on both a day-to-day and long-term basis.

As a Supply Teacher, you''ll play an important role in maintaining continuity in pupils'' learning while creating a positive and engaging classroom environment.

The Role

You''ll work in a range of primary schools, delivering high-quality lessons and quickly building positive relationships with pupils and staff. Whether you''re covering planned absences or taking on a longer-term position, you''ll have the opportunity to make a real difference while enjoying the flexibility that supply teaching offers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where pupils can succeed.
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of different learners.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively and encourage positive attitudes to learning.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress where required.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents.
• Follow school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety.
• Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.

What We''re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Previous experience teaching within UK primary schools.
• Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.
• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A flexible, adaptable and professional approach.
• The ability to quickly build rapport with pupils and staff.
• A genuine passion for helping children learn and achieve.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
• Able to get recent references from teaching placements
