Our client based near Glasgow are recruiting for a Compliance Officer for a 12 month fixed term contract to assist and advise shore-based companies on ISO standards, Business Continuity, GDPR compliance, shore-based health and safety, and auditing functions. The Compliance Officer will also be responsible for assisting and leading (when appropriate) with the maintenance and development of the Company s Safety Management System. THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT Essential Quality management, internal auditing health and safety and NEBOSH experience Proven experience working in an auditing role Database management skills Familiarity in a Quality Officer / Assurance role Understanding of health and safety in the workplace Good organizational, analytical and communication skills Ability to work in a team and autonomously Proven ability to work to targets and deadlines Desirable Experience of working within the Marine/Shipping Industry Degree or suitable Diploma or equivalent in a related discipline JOB DESCRIPTION The management, implementation and improvement of electronic quality and safety management systems, including training in the use of Preparation and undertaking of quality-based training to ensure business needs are met and understood.
