Senior Engineer

Location – Welling 

£350 - £380 per day Limited (Outside IR35) or PAYE Umbrella

The Company

Our client, a Tier 1 Contractor in the UK are currently offering an excellent opportunity for a Senior Engineer to join them for an assignment on a clean water project. The company is one of the leading Infrastructure contractors working in the market today and have an excellent track record of delivering world class Civil Engineering projects.

What you will be doing:

• Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment and assist in project planning and resource coordination.
• Manage subcontractor performance to ensure alignment with project timelines.
• Write, review, and implement Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
• Supervise site engineering team, delegate tasks, and mentor junior engineers.
• Control project schedules, attend coordination meetings, and update progress as required.
• Ensure work complies with project specifications, raise design-related RFIs and TQs, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Communicate with the commercial team for accurate financial reporting, manage snagging systems, and minimize site waste.

About you:

• Work safely and proficiently interpret data and drawings.
• Advanced setting out skills, including Level, EDM, and GPS knowledge.
• Relevant civil engineering experience (Highways, Rail, Water, Aviation).
• Strong leadership, delegation, and problem-solving abilities.
