Mechanical Design Engineer Robotics and Automation We re hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a fast-growing robotics and automation company. You ll design mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks, collaborating with software and electrical teams to deliver high-performance, manufacturable systems. Key Responsibilities Design assemblies and components in SolidWorks Create 3D models, 2D drawings, and BOMs Support prototyping, testing, and validation Conduct tolerance analysis and design reviews Optimise designs for cost and manufacturability (DFM/DFA) Assist with system improvements and troubleshooting Essential Requirements: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar 3 5 years'' experience in mechanical design (ideally in robotics or automation) Strong SolidWorks skills (assemblies, drawings, simulation) Knowledge of gears, actuators, motion components Familiarity with machining, sheet metal, and 3D printing Understanding of GDandT and FEA tools Preferred Requirements: Experience with PDM systems Knowledge of robotic arms or conveyors Familiarity with pneumatic/electromechanical systems Awareness of safety standards (ISO, ANSI/RIA) Benefits: Competitive salary + overtime Pension scheme, cycle-to-work, paid holidays Fast-track career progression opportunities Work in a collaborative, hands-on engineering team ..... full job details .....
