Job Description Electrical Design Engineer Location: Royal Arsenal Development, Woolwich, SE London Salary: £50,000 £60,000 (depending on experience) + Benefits (Pension, Healthcare, Life Insurance) Contracting Option: Available (day rate to be agreed) Hours: Full-time, Permanent (9:00am 5:00pm, Monday Friday) The Role The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems and components, producing technical documentation, and ensuring that all designs meet the required safety and regulatory standards. You will work closely with our CAD team and other engineering disciplines to deliver robust and efficient electrical designs from concept to completion. This role will suit someone with a strong technical background and excellent attention to detail who enjoys both design work and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities Design and Development: Create detailed electrical schematics, layouts, and prototypes for systems such as LV circuits, power distribution, emergency lighting, CMS route drawings, and asset fixing details. Ensure all designs meet current electrical regulations, industry standards, and project specifications. Prepare technical documentation, drawings, user manuals, and maintain up-to-date design records.
