Sustainability Manager – Sustainable Investment Frameworks

we are creating an exceptional place to work for exceptional talent.We will consider flexible working arrangements for any of our roles and also offer work place accommodations to ensure you have what you need to effectively deliver in your role.The Role:The post holder will sit within the Sustainable Investment Frameworks team within MandG Investments Sustainability and Stewardship team.This team is tasked with leading on the development and implementation of sustainable investment frameworks across public and private markets. The work of this team supports our investment teams in delivering regulatory compliance (e.g. SFDR, SDR), product sustainability requirements, as well as codifying our approach on thematic or asset class specific aspects. The team also leads on policy and standard development for MandG Investments on sustainability, as well as defining our governance frameworks and implementation.
The Sustainability Manager will support in the delivery of activities such as supporting on the development of new frameworks, policies, as well as engaging and training investment teams to support on the implementation of these frameworks. The Sustainability Manager will need to be able to work collaboratively across both the Sustainability and Stewardship team as well as with a wide range of stakeholders across the business.Key Responsibilities:Supporting the development of sustainability frameworks and policiesWorking with investment teams to support on the integration of sustainability frameworks into investment processHelp scale up our activities in the development of thematic and asset class specific frameworks/policiesEngagement with investment desks on sustainabilitySupport on the development and delivery of training related to framework or the wider SandS activitiesResponding to internal and external information requestsKey Knowledge, Skills and Experience:A passion for sustainability is essential and an understanding of sustainability matters in the context of financial services would be desirableWorking knowledge of sustainability regulation e.g. SFDR and SDRExcellent communication skills, including both written and verbalEffective stakeholder engagement/management, and ability to build good relationships internally and externallyAbility to produce high quality reports/deliverables suitable for a senior audience.Excellent writing skillsStrong excel skills, with the ability to work with large data sets, beneficialIdeally an ability to synthesize information from complex data sets into simplified outputs for stakeholdersAbility to work independently, as well as collaborate effectively within a team environmentProactive with individual accountability; takes ownership to drive delivery forwards without instruction.Effective problem-solving skills to design and implement solutionsIntegrity and strong work ethic with a positive outlook and belief in our purpose.Self-starter, with strong time management skills, ability to deliver under pressure, prioritise to produce results and communicate challengesWork Level: Manager or ExpertRecruiter: Hannah CurtisWe have a diverse workforce and an inclusive culture at MandG plc, underpinned by our policies and our employee-led networks who provide networking opportunities, advice and support for the diverse communities our colleagues represent.
