Early Years Practitioner
Location: Fulham
Salary: -30,00035,000 per annum, pro rata for part-time hours 8am-6pm
Hours: Full-time and part-time opportunities available 10am-2pm, 9am-4pm
About the Role
We are looking for enthusiastic, caring and reliable Early Years Practitioners to join our friendly nursery team in Fulham. This is a fantastic opportunity for childcare professionals who are passionate about supporting children''s learning, development and wellbeing in a safe, nurturing and stimulating early years environment.
As an Early Years Practitioner, you will work as part of a supportive team to provide high-quality care and education for children, following the EYFS framework, safeguarding procedures and nursery policies. Full-time and part-time roles are available, with flexibility discussed at interview.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care, learning and play opportunities for children in line with the EYFS framework.
- Support children''s individual needs, interests and development through engaging activities and purposeful play.
- Act as a key person where required, building positive relationships with children and their families.
- Observe, assess and record children''s progress, contributing to planning and next steps for learning.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, clean and stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environment.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, food hygiene and nursery policies at all times.
- Work closely with colleagues, room leaders, managers and external professionals to support children''s wellbeing and development.
- Communicate warmly and professionally with parents and carers about children''s daily routines, progress and care needs.
- Support children with personal care routines, including meals, toileting, nappy changing and rest times.
- Contribute positively to team meetings, training and continuous improvement within the nursery.
About You
- Level 3 childcare qualification, or a willingness to work towards a recognised early years qualification.
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery, preschool or early years setting is desirable.
- A good understanding of the EYFS, child development and safeguarding responsibilities.
- A warm, patient and caring approach with children.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with families and colleagues.
- A flexible, reliable and team-focused attitude.
- A genuine passion for supporting children to feel safe, confident, valued and ready to learn.
