We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering highways and infrastructure projects across Suffolk and Essex.
 
Key Responsibilities
·As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, support and mentor junior staff across multiple projects
·Maximise profitability and monitor contract costs against budgets
·Identify potential risks and prepare effective cost-control strategies
·Prepare estimates, procure subcontractors, and manage subcontract documentation
·As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, assess and certify interim and final payments to subcontractors
·Manage and agree main contract variations
·Assist with documentation for dispute resolution processes such as adjudications or arbitrations
·As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, ensure all work complies with quality, safety, and environmental standards
 
Skills & Experience
·Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor, ideally on civil engineering and highways schemes
·Knowledge and practical experience with NEC contracts
·Strong numeracy, IT skills, and excellent commercial acumen
·A confident communicator with strong negotiation skills and a flexible approach
·The Senior Quantity Surveyor must be eligible to work in the UK
