This is a key role for someone who is confident leading a team on the shop floor and keeping production running smoothly. You''ll be the go-to person for your team during the shift - balancing output targets, quality standards, people management and day-to-day problem solving.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction and OperationsCoordinate daily production activities to meet output targets and deadlinesAllocate labour, materials and equipment to maintain a smooth workflowResolve operational issues quickly to minimise downtimeEnsure machinery is operated correctly and in line with maintenance schedulesLiaise with the maintenance team to address breakdowns and prevent recurring problemsPeople ManagementSupervise, coach and support production operatives during shiftsDeliver or coordinate training on safety, quality and operational proceduresManage attendance, lateness and performance with clear, consistent communicationQuality and ComplianceEnsure all products meet quality specifications and standardsImplement corrective and preventive actions where requiredEnforce safe working practices and ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirementsReporting and PlanningTrack key production metrics including output, scrap, downtime and labour efficiencyPrepare shift reports and ..... full job details .....
