Semi Senior Accountant Location: Cheam, Surrey Job Type: Full-time, 37.5 hours- 100% office based Initially temporary contract whilst recruiting permanently Salary: £15.38- £18.46 per hour PAYE or £19.52- £23.51 per hour via an umbrella company. An excellent opportunity has arisen for a motivated and ambitious Semi Senior Accountant to join a growing and supportive accountancy practice in Cheam, Surrey. This role is perfect for someone who is currently studying towards a professional qualification and is eager to further develop their technical accounting skills within a collaborative environment. Day-to-day of the role: Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships. Assist with the preparation of management accounts. Prepare and submit VAT returns. Support the completion of corporation tax computations and returns. Maintain accurate client records and working papers. Utilise CCH and other accounting software efficiently. Liaise with clients regarding routine queries and information requests. Support Senior Accountants and Client Managers with ad hoc assignments. Ensure all work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines. Required Skills and Qualifications: Studies underway towards ACCA, ACA, AAT, or an equivalent qualification. Approximately 2-4 years'' experience within a UK accountancy practice. Experience preparing statutory accounts and VAT returns.
