Overview

Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Oxfordshire. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support. We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN / SEND, and other needs such as SEMH needs. We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD and SLD. This role involves providing Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted ProvisionYoung people are referred by local authorities and schools and require support in their educational and social-emotional journeyProvide support via flexible and holistic trauma-informed tutoring and mentoringPlan each session of teaching / tutoring / mentoringProvide holistic and engaging sessions meeting individual needs and progressComplete lesson reports and provide feedback on progressRequirements

Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)Minimum 2 years teaching experienceExperience with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, and other Additional Educational NeedsSafeguarding knowledge and understandingEnhanced DBS (cost support available if needed)Two professional referencesBased in the UK with right to work, including for remote/online assignmentsAbility to promote the health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policiesEmployment status
