Teaching Assistant

Prospero Teaching is proud to be supporting a nurturing and inclusive Primary school in Wiltshire, in the recruitment of a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support primary-aged pupils from Year 1-6.

The Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils'' learning, progress, and wellbeing. You will assist with delivering learning activities and help create a positive and focused classroom environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting individual pupils and small groups within the classroom
• Assisting teachers with planning and delivering learning activities
• Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting pupils'' social development
• Helping to maintain a safe, calm, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
• Building positive relationships with pupils to support their confidence and engagement

• Location: Wiltshire (near Salisbury)
• Position: Teaching Assistant - Primary School
• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract Type: Permanent or long-term supply (with potential for permanent placement)
• Working Hours: 8:30am - 3.30pm, Monday to Friday
• Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

• Experienced Teaching Assistants or those with a background in education support
• Candidates with a patient, friendly, and reliable approach
• Individuals passionate about supporting children''s learning and development
• Applicants eager to contribute positively to a vibrant school community

• Experience working with children in a school or similar environment
• A proactive and empathetic approach to supporting pupils
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training (or willingness to complete)
• Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Two professional child-related references
