Your new company A leading and fast-growing insurance group is seeking a motivated Trading Underwriter to join its New Business team. The organisation is recognised for its strong broker relationships, service-led approach, and commitment to delivering excellent customer outcomes. Due to continued expansion, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced underwriter to help drive new business growth across a broad commercial product range. Your new role As a Trading Underwriter, you will manage and underwrite new business within the company''s risk appetite, ensuring that all quotations are assessed accurately and efficiently. You will handle broker enquiries within agreed SLAs, providing a responsive, professional and friendly service at all times. Working closely with Business Development Managers, you will help maintain and strengthen broker relationships across the region. You will also act as a referral point for colleagues with lower underwriting authority and ensure that all decisions comply with underwriting guidelines and the company''s commitment to Treating Customers Fairly. You will contribute to improving work processes by taking initiative and supporting overall business objectives. You will collaborate effectively with your team to ensure workloads are completed within SLA requirements, and you will provide confident telephone support to brokers to maintain excellent customer service standards.
