About the Role
As Fire Safety Advisor, you will play a key role in developing and implementing a robust fire safety management system across all school sites and activities. You''ll work closely with departments across the school to ensure compliance with legislation, promote a positive safety culture, and provide expert advice on fire safety matters.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the review and implementation of fire safety policies and systems
• Overseeing fire detection and emergency systems
• Conducting fire risk assessments and audits
• Coordinating fire safety training and evacuation drills
• Liaising with contractors, emergency services, and internal teams
• Supporting critical incident planning and investigations

We''re looking for someone with:

• Strong experience managing fire safety in a complex environment
• Up-to-date knowledge of fire safety legislation and best practice
• Excellent communication and IT skills
• A proactive, collaborative approach
• Relevant fire safety qualifications and memberships (e.g. Institute of Fire Engineers)
• Experience in an educational or residential setting
