Overall Objective of Role:

To support the Thomas Miller Group Internal Audit Director in the provision of value-added independent assurance and advisory services to Thomas Miller and its managed clubs, while promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, knowledge sharing and good governance.

Responsibilities

Developing, implementing and managing a risk-based IT plan and continuous monitoring protocols across Thomas Miller and its managed clubs

Managing and directly conducting technology related audits to ensure efficient and high quality delivery against agreed timeframes.

Be the subject matter expert and a trusted independent advisor and partner with major business, IT and support functions within Thomas Miller and its managed clubs

Supporting the Internal Audit team in the development and implementation of a data analytics program

Supporting the Internal Audit team on non-technical audits with respect to data gathering and analysis

Supporting the Internal Audit team with the preparation of Board and Committee papers for Thomas Miller and its managed clubs.

Person Specification

CISA or CISSP qualified

Knowledge of ISO 27001 / ITIL, NIST and COBiT

Advanced level of Excel and strong analytical skills

Experience of using data visualisation and data analytical tools (mainly Power BI)

Proven track record and strong understanding of standards, policies and best practice within the fields of; (i) IT Security; (ii) Data Governance; and, (ii) System and application general controls, including end user computing

Understanding of Project Delivery cycle, IT Architecture structures (especially cloud-based structures), and Change Portfolio Management.

Understanding of auditing and control practices is desirable

Experience within Financial or Professional Services is desirable but not mandatory
