EYFS Teaching Assistant

Hours: Full-Time, Monday-Friday (Term Time Only)

Location: Mitcham, London Borough of Merton

Contract: Term Time Only

Sanza are seeking a warm, nurturing and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school team in Mitcham.

This is a rewarding role at the heart of the school''s early years provision, supporting young children to thrive during their first steps in education - helping them to develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.

The successful candidate will:

• Support children''s learning and development across the 7 areas of the EYFS curriculum.
• Assist with play-based activities, both indoors and outdoors.
• Observe and contribute to assessments and Learning Journey records.
• Support children with personal care, including toileting and feeding where required.
• Work with individuals and small groups, including children with SEND.
• Help maintain a stimulating, safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Contribute to the school''s safeguarding procedures and promote pupil wellbeing.

The school are looking for someone who:

• Is caring, patient and passionate about early years education.
• Has experience of working with young children, ideally in an EYFS setting.
• Holds or is working towards a relevant childcare or education qualification.
• Has a good understanding of child development and the EYFS framework.
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
