Electrical Engineer

This is a stand out opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to gain exposure in a data centre in Canary Wharf! No prior experience in a critical environment required, this is a unique opportunity if you''re looking to gain insight on critical plant equipment, develop further within data centres, join a long standing maintenance service provider and gain on - going training.

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining critical plant equipment (CRAC units, UPS, Generators, HV and LV), carry out PPM and reactive maintenance, assist with site shutdowns / blackouts and ensure the site''s plant is running at full efficiency.

Electrical Engineer Duties:

• Planned Preventative (PPM) and reactive maintenance
• Trouble shoot / fault find on single and three phase power systems 
• Assist with site shutdowns and blackouts
• Monitor and maintain all critical equipment (CRAC Units, UPS, Generators, LV and HV)
• Assist in maintaining mechanical systems (HVAC, Pumps, Motors, Boilers, Plumbing, Cooling Towers, etc.)
• Support other maintenance engineers and supervisors on site 
• Update site logbooks and documents regularly 
• Liaise with subcontractors 
• Ensure all statutory compliance tasks are adhered to 

Electrical Engineer Requirements:

• Fully qualified in Electrical Engineering / Installations (City and Guilds / EAL / NVQ or equivalent)
• At least 3 years experience in commercial maintenance 
• Live within commutable distance to site 
• Great communication skills 
• Knowledge of critical plant equipment 
• Experience working in a critical environment (Not essential but desirable)

• £45,000 per annum 
• Continental shift pattern (Days and nights)
