SEN Support & Intervention Assistant - Slough - September Start

A thriving school in Slough is looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Support & Intervention Assistant to join their supportive team from September.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs and a strong desire to make a positive difference in their education and development. You will need to be confident, patient, calm and able to communicate effectively with young people.

As a SEN Support & Intervention Assistant, you will play an important role in helping pupils access their education, develop their confidence and make progress both academically and socially.

SEN Support & Intervention Assistant - Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with special educational needs to access learning and reach their potential
• Providing targeted 1:1 support and intervention for pupils who require additional help
• Supporting behaviour for learning and encouraging positive engagement in the classroom
• Helping pupils understand and follow teacher instructions
• Working with individuals and small groups within the SEN department
• Supporting pupils with their social, emotional and educational development
• Monitoring, recording and tracking pupil progress
• Working closely with teachers and the wider SEN team to ensure pupils receive appropriate support
• Encouraging independence, confidence and positive learning behaviours

• Salary: -8995 per day
• Hours: Full time, 8:30am-4:00pm
